Competitors will be awarded points according to the
following schedule:

This schedule will apply to all disciplines, all events.
The winner at the end of the season will be the competitor with
the highest number of World Cup Points in each discipline. Points
will be totaled from the best X tournaments where X is 1 fewer
than the number of World Cup tournaments for that event.
To be specific:
Men Jump 16 World Cup tournaments total of best 15 tournaments
Men Slalom 13 World Cup tournaments total of best 12 tournaments
Women Jump 6 World Cup tournaments total of best 5 tournaments
Women Slalom 7 World Cup tournaments total of best 6 tournaments
The disciplines for 1997 will be Men Jump, Women Jump, Men Slalom,
Women Slalom
CASH PRIZE
Cafe de Colombia is funding the "Winner Take All"
prize money of $75,000. This money will be split among the events
based on the among the events
based on the number of events. At this time there are 42 scheduled
events, 16 men jump, 13 men slalom, 6 women jump and 7 women slalom.
The prize payout is therefore the following:
Men Jump $29,000
Men Slalom $23,000
Women Jump $11,000
Women Slalom $12,000
Final confirmation of prize money from Cafe de Colombia has been received.
This prize payout is now fixed and will remain at this dollar amount even if the number of events changes from this point on.
