Yoon Jin Sook 13 MASTERS PREVIEW -- The prestigious U.S. Masters Waterski Tournament will be held this weekend, May 23-25, on Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. This is the 38th year of the Masters. Among the highlights is the invitation to the event of 44-year-old Kris LaPoint, who first skied at the Masters 30 years ago! LaPoint will be going for his eighth Masters title. Directions: Callaway Gardens is located U.S. Highway 27 in Pine Mountain, Georgia, 70 miles south of Atlanta and 30 miles north of Columbus. By car, take I-85 south from Atlanta to I-185 and continue south to Exit 14. Turn left on U.S. Highway 27 and drive 11 miles to Callaway Gardens. Driving north on either I-185 or I-85, exit east on Highway 18 to Pine Mountain. Turn right on U.S. Highway 27 and enter Callaway Gardens. For hotel information, call 800-282-8181. AUSTIN PREVIEW -- Austin, Texas, June 6-8, is a new site on the U.S. Pro Tour schedule. The river site is at Emma Long Metro Park. Emma Long Park is a large, nice park. These are the 10 women slalom skiers invited to the Austin stop. (If an athlete cannot attend, the field will be filled to 10 regardless.)
