Please help the International Water Ski Federation (IWSF) in its efforts to include the sport of water skiing in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. Your generous donation will have a direct positive impact on the ability of IWSF officers to meet with International Olympic Committee (IOC) officials to present the story of water skiing.

Approximately 30 million people participate in the sport worldwide, with more than 50,000 competing in tournaments. National water ski federations have been established in 76 Countries. As of May 1999, 46 national Olympic committees have declared in writing that they support the inclusion of water skiing in the 2004 Olympic Games. Supporters in 22 Countries have already sent donations to help fund IWSF efforts to promote the sport among IOC officials. Finally, more than 36,000 water ski friends on three continents have signed petitions supporting the water ski Olympic quest. All that's needed now is your financial support to enable the IWSF to complete the work required to gain Olympic statues. Our time has come but without your financial support, the IWSF cannot realize its dream.

Water skiing - a new Olympic sport for the next millennium!

Wouldn't it be rewarding to see Juan Antonio Samaranch, IOC president, present a gold medal to a water skier such as Helena Kjellander, a four-time women's slalom world champion from Sweden? Kjellander and Samaranch are pictured during a water ski demonstration held last summer in Seville, Spain.

In June 1999, we received the great news that the Greek National Olympic Committee have just brought us even closer to Olympic Games success. They have given written confirmation to the IOC that Waterskiing is their choice new sport for Athens 2004. At this time, no other sport has been proposed. This increases the need for your financial support even more. We are on the last lap - and it boils down to whether we can afford to keep this project active and focussed. All we need now is IOC approval - and your funds to make it happen
