Glass Calm conditions every day - note that the lilies have been removed!

New Nautique versus the old club boat - take your pick!

This is Wilton Martinez's paradise in Santo Domingo.  The Rio IsabelaShe is hot hot hot in Santo Domingo in Summer Ski Club and Site of the Pan American Games 2003.  Photo above is taken from the Bridge overlooking the site.  Those tents you see are portable boat storage tents, portable because sometimes this entire area is under water.....  The Photo to the right was taken at Boca Chica - a short hop skip and a jump from the Athlete's Village.  Gotta like it!

This is our man in the Dominican - Wilton Martinez - founder of the club and man of the hour!  The above photo shows some of the problems that we have had to deal with in getting this site prepared for the games.  The photo below gives you an even better idea of what we had to work with to make this site usable.  With Wilton's persistence, the local harbour master is helping by bringing boats up the river to remove the lilies and let them flow downstream.  The lilies are part of the food chain of the Manatee which is the Mascot of the games!  We are doing our part to help maintain Waterski in the Pan American Games and maintain an environmentally healthy atmosphere.
