World Cup adds Arena Masters and Sola Masters


IWSF World Cup Commision Chairman Robert Corson today announced that two major European tournaments have been added to the World Cup Circuit.

The Sola Masters in Karlstad, SWE has attracted the world's top jumpers in the past with one of Europe's richest purses totaling $14,000 USD. This will be the eighth Sola Masters. Last year the winner was Andrea Alessi (ITA) with a jump of 59.5m (195ft). The World Cup will be the centerpiece of a weekend festival on June 14/15 in Karlstad.

The Arena Masters is being organized by the Italian Water Ski Federation on Aug 3/4 in Milan at Idroscalo, the site of many major tournaments including the 1977 World Championships and the 1986 World Junior Championships. Details of the cash prizes were not available at press time.
