The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS Give details of any variations of IWSF rules. List any alterations to the course, etc. duringthe competition. List any malfunction of equipment. Give any further information which might affect the Tournament Council's assement of the homologation. This event had both cash prize and a junior non-cash event. The Junior event is being called 'Round 4'. With World Records highly improbably for the Jr. events, these were run as 'L'. For Open Men jumping, the boat was underpowered and unable to hold proper times in the 2nd timing segment. It was replaced with another boat, that was able to time out, for rounds 2 and 3. The new Corson Video Trick Timing was used. Also, trick judging was from video transmitted from the towboat. Slalom judging used gate video and 2 centered tower judges. Gate video from the water side could have been better: higher & more zoom-in. Height was approx. 2.5m, but higher would have needed another layer of scaffolding, and been shaky. Trick judging from live boat video, including timing by video, raises some questions about rules and interpretations that the Chief Judge, also on the IWSF Board, is expected to report on. This system generally worked well, but did have transmission problems at times. Slalom review from boat video was used as needed, as per the Pro Tour method. This system is recommended for all major events as the best way to get the most accurate score. Slalom endcourse had a few initial problems: rain, then video transmission. Eventually all worked out, although some significant wind shake for final round. No notable skier performances; nothing within a full pass of either World Record. Cl. video is on a scaffolding in the water approx. 225m from endgate. The Perfect Pass Slalom Switch was used, and towlines shortened by 0.5m to compensate, so that the loop colors would be proper for the given lineoff loop. Courses were individual anchors consisting of pipes that had been water-jetted into the mud, with a counterweight inside to float the buoys at the proper height. System worked well, especially for needed buoy changeouts. One anchor was shifted when some doofus backed over it; was fixed & resurveyed. Ramp had an adjustable foam floatation 'trolley'. Was adjusted to near max. length out of water for all divisions (6.79m). Ramp was a 'ski-fly' ramp with approx 8.0 meter length deck, weighted down at low end to work for conventional jumping. Ramp was marked in .05m intervals from 6.60 to 6.80, with a white striped also painted. Ramp was set 'open' approximately 2.8 degrees. Video test buoys for Women and Men were set at 50m and 65m respectively, because of the quality of the field. Jump video measurement used a ReplayTV(R) unit to capture a freeze frame of the first contact.
