The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS Give details of any variations of IWSF rules. List any alterations to the course, etc. duringthe competition. List any malfunction of equipment. Give any further information which might affect the Tournament Council's assement of the homologation. Item 4: Slalom lines, a 500 millimetre section was taken out to allow for the slalom switch and carabina clip. Item 12: Slalom Tower TFR not quite in correct position for gates but view of all other buoys was unrestricted, and judging of gates proved to be no problem from this tower. Item 18: VHS video tricks: Timing was performed by the Corson Video trick program on two computers. Two cameras were used, the first camera was fed into the computer and recorded on a normal VHS tape. As back-up, a Digital video camera was used, recorded on tape and also fed into a separate computer. With the timing performed by the computer, a problem arose and that was, that it was almost impossible to judge the two start buoys of the trick course, so there could be a conflict as to when the trick pass was supposed to start because the judges use these buoys to determine the starting point. Surveying: The Slalom & Jump Surveys were carried out at low tide with nil current . A certain amount of buoy movement was noticable when the tide movement was at its greatest ,which was irregular only, so it was not considered to be cause, to not give both slalom & jump courses a standing list rating because it would only tend to make it harder for the competitors in slalom. In jump, the course movement was minimal. The position of the jumping ramp was checked at regular intervals and movement in relation to its rest position was observed to be less than plus/minus 50mm. The vertical movement in the Video Jump grid buoys due to tide fluctuations was compensated for at regular intervals by locking the Grid and moving all relevant grid buoys in an upwards or downward direction as required.(this was suggested by Dave Clark in collaboration with Brian Woolley). Horozontal or sideways movement was considered to be not relevant, because it would change relative to the Ramp. The 150 & 180 metre buoys were a little out of position but they were not corrected in time before the first jump event so I thought it better to leave them, as it was noted on the Homologation notice posted before any events had started. As is evident in the survey printouts the instrument height difference is 0.204 m this is the tide difference over the period between when the slalom & jump surveys were done. The total tide differenceover during the entire tournament was in the vicinity of 0.6 metres or 600 millimetres..
