The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS ***REMARKS*** Extra R rounds were allowed by IWSF. Probably just too much skiing, especially in slalom, where it was possible that a slalomer could have to ski up to 7 times (including tie runoffs). Jump ramp had a marking line across that ran from 6.60 to 6.80. Was waxed according to new IWSF specs. Jump ramp was a 'ski fly' length ramp with reduced floatation at the low end to produce the proper length. Spectra combination Jump lines were allowed, according to IWSF rule. Rule clarified post-event by Corson. Site is marginal on width for jumping at about 72m. Jump course was angled by about 7 degrees to the shoreline to create more effective width, putting the jump ramp effectively 31-32 meters offshore. The jump test buoy was placed at about 65m downcourse vs. 60m to be in a location that is more representative. The ramp was set 'open' about 3.0 degrees to the course. Good anchoring (from 6 years back) stayed put. Optional timing method in jumping with allowed faster 2nd segment times was used. Video jump was used; also video for slalom endgates; also SL video from the boat that included live transmission, and worked most of the time, especially in the later rounds, and was used several times for reviews. Site-supplied handle checker was too flexible; replaced with Tour's after a few skiers. A checker for personal combination jump lines was set up. SL centerline video supplied by the local site was very good as was the SL gate video also supplied. Technical preparations by World Sports & Marketing were much better for the 2003 event than the 2002 event. Representatives from Perfect Pass were at the site. Latest version used: ?? 6.5. Some problems in the earlier rounds in jumping with the switch; no problems later.
