The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS No unresolved slalom event problems. Two new boat houses that were constructed since the 2000 Nationals obscured view of slalom judges using standard towers. Scissors lifts were used to raise judges to an optimum height. Major problems encountered with ropes as shipped from factory. Extra care was taken to select the best ropes and assure that slalom ropes were 0.5m short to allow for correct use of Perfect Pass Slalom Switch. Some ropes were shipped with removable 0.5 section installed, some with it removed, some did not have a 0.5m section. Wireless transmitters used for jump event on lake 4 were subject to interference from thick trees between towers and computers. Coax cable was used on short and middle grids, and wireless on long grid.. Coax used on all jump cameras on lake 1. Conclusion was that in cases when cameras are close to computers, coax is more reliable. All trick events were run with 5 judges from standard trick towers except Open Divisions were run with 5 judges and video feed from camera located in trick tower for VTT. Intterference from an unknown source caused us to abort use of cameras in boats and judges in trailer. It was later determined that the Mastercraft had a bad noise suppression circuit battery connection. On Saturday, Men 1 trick was run with camera mounted in boat using Dave Clark windshield mount. No major interference problems. Worked great. Corson VTT used for Open Men, Open Women and Men 1 with no problems. Dave Clark helped configure the system for best compression level. 15 bit rgb video, Indeo 5.04 compression with 'Quick Compress' enabled.
