The following section is where free form comments are added and attachments are made. HOMOLOGATOR'S REMARKS Give details of any variations of IWSF rules. List any alterations to the course, etc. duringthe competition. List any malfunction of equipment. Give any further information which might affect the Tournament Council's assement of the homologation. End course Video was in use for all passes with competitors name recorded for all passes 13 metre or shorter. Check viewing is completed and all passes were well within video tolerance. Tape is available. Optical telelens was used to comply with rule 14.17 requirement and to achieve > 1/6th of the screen. SLALOM Pregate PG4 was 15 mil short, PG3 was 23 mil wide. As this is of no consequence to the competitors and of little or no effect to the boat course and is not part of the competition portion of the course, the Homologator advises that this is satisfactory to be accepted as Record Capability. JUMP The width of course from reference line to the 150 and 180 metre guide buoys are 38 and 70 mils wide. As this is if anything a disadvantage to the competitor I recommend and advise that this course be considered as of Record Capability. Please note that figures for Jump setup and test buoys are from the " Boetcher " jump measurement system which use test buoys at Approx. 20 and 40 metres in liew of 40 and 60 metres. Further output indicates a 20 metre test point with Survey X,Y of 19.69,11.92 and Test Measure of 19.63,11.81. These figures are often difficult to achieve by previous methods. TRICKS Because of complying with the letter of the rules in this event and shortcomings in the rules themselves not able to comply with some practicalities of this event an approved method of trick judging was used. A high quality Video camera with DVD storage was used. The DVD's were periodically conveyed to the Judges position and played on a large screen for judging timing and review. Some advantages were noted chief among them were that only one official Computer was necessary and adequate time was available for accurate and considered judgement of both performance and timing. I highly recommend that this method be considered as an alternative in any review of the rules. Many countries have a power limitation of 10 mW for any considered use of microwave radio transmission. I also recommend that some thought be given to camera height to enable clear vision over the " rooster Tail " in this situation of manual operation of " Video from the Boat ". At this tournament considerable effort was made to ensure that clear vision was achieved. All tournament officials were satisfied with the results achieved.
