Name of the Tournament: 1st Beijing International Water Ski Open. 2. Venue: Beijing Cable Water Ski Park, Beijing , China. The course is a man made one with 1200m in length, 80m in width and 2m in depth. 3. Time : October 3 to 7, 2000. 4. Host: Chinese Water Ski Association. 5. Sponsor: Beijing Municipal Government. 6. Events: Men's and Women's Jump 7. Rules: Current IWSF rules will be conducted. As only 14 skiers will be invited in the tournament, all skiers will compete in preliminary and final rounds. 8. Initial Schedule: October 3: Accreditation. Judges' Clinic. October 4: Morning: Official Familiarization, Judges’Practice Afternoon: Sightseeing. October 5: Opening ceremony. Ski show will be performed by foreign and Chinese show skiers. Skiers will be invited to do demonstration. October 6: Morning : Preliminary round for women's and men's jump. Ski show. October 7: Morning : Final round for women's and men's jump. Ski show October 8: Departure. 9. Awards and Prize money: (1) Cups: First place of each event will be awarded a cup. (2) Prize money: Total prize money will be 36000 USD. Please see the attached form for details. (3) Certificates: Each participant will be given a certificate for participation 10. Equipment: (1) Tow boat: 1999 Ski Nautique (325HP) with Perfect Pass system. (2) Other equipment: All participants should bring their own equipment like skis, handles, helmets, wet suits, etc.. 11. Arrangements for accommodation, meals, local transportation and costs: Beijing, an international city, capital of China, is connected by air routes with most cities in the world. Accommodation, meals and local transportation will be arranged the Organizing Committee free of charge during the tournament. 12. Training: (1) Official Familiarization: Each skier will be given at most 10 minutes for official familiarization. (2) skiers who want have extra training, should pay 80USD per boat per hour. 13. Entries: (1) 7 male skiers and 7 female skiers will be invited to the tournament. Male and female skiers who ranked in the first 15 places of 1999 IWSF rank list(jump) may be eligible to enter.
