Pro Skiers

Three Sisters Water Ski Club are pleased to announce that our Pro-Am Grand Prix 2010 now has Introductory Elite ranking status.
We have agreed with Bob Corson that over the following 3 years we will develop our cash minimum purse from $5000 in 2010, $9000 in 2011 up to $12000 in 2012.

We have positioned our event during the mid week following the World Cup jump in Korea and the annual Princes Pro-Am but before the Elite tournament in the Ukraine. We are situated in the north west of England, a 2 ½ hour drive from Princes club, or a ½ hour drive from both Manchester and Liverpool international airports.

12 Pro’s will each draw 2 amateur slalom skiers to form teams for Kart racing, clay shooting and then 2 rounds of Pro-Am slalom followed by a Pro final.

The event gets underway on Tuesday August 31st with ski and clay shoot practice available until 16:00. Pro skiers will then draw their 2 amateur team members who will Kart race Le-mans style together against the other teams before taking an evening meal and drinks at a local pub.

Wednesday September 1st 08-30 the first teams will take to the water for the 2 Pro-Am slalom rounds. Other teams will take their turns at the clay shooting. The team points gained in each discipline will decide the winning teams. The team prizes for the amateurs are generously sponsored by ski schools and ski equipment suppliers etc and of course the Team Champions Trophy is up for grabs. The cash purse for the Pro skiers will be a minimum total of $5000 paid down to 12th place $100 and be decided in a seeded Pro Final. All of the Pro rounds slalom will be webcast live via
EAME selected officials are;

Chief Judge Kevin Maloney

We are able to offer accommodation (2 pro’s sharing) on the night of August 31st, transportation to/from our 2 local international airports and food, hot and cold drinks at the lake for the duration of the practise and competition.
The exciting format of the event is such that we can only accommodate 12 Pro skiers selected from the Elite ranked top 20 and 4 British wild cards.
I am trying to get a feel for who is likely to be travelling, if you would like to be considered for invitation please let me know by Monday May 31st.
Bob Corson has kindly agreed to circulate this information to you all, I would appreciate it if you could respond directly back to me,
I look forward to hearing from you all.

Regards Andy Finley (event organiser.)
