Dear Organizers,
It is time to start thinking about 2012, There already has been significant activity. Several tournaments have been listed on the IWWF calendar already and now it is time to fill in the Elite Sanction form located at http://www.iwsfranking.com/2012/EliteSanction.htm

eliteorganizers Message - 2011 Calendar

Please note that I am filling in the potential Elite calendar. It is available on www.iwsfranking.com in the left column.
2011 has the special circumstance of the World's at Dubna which is July 17-24.
I am trying to get dates listed as early as possible so if changes are needed, we can address it as early as possible.
I am trying to get any World Cup dates down since in most cases they are not flexible as they are tied to a City schedule like a fixed date festival and cannot be moved and are independent of the normal traditional water ski schedule.
Please get your dates in and fill in the Elite sanction as soon as possible.

The informal reservations are shown on the google calendar. For that, just send me your proposed dates.

eliteorganizers Message - Elite Tournament Schedule

This year I was contacted by organizers to reserve dates on the schedule. I created the google calendar shown at

to reflect these dates. The idea was that then, when information was finalized, the organizer would fill in the Elete Sanction at:

OK, I have the following tournaments that arenthe Prelim schedule who have not filled in the sanction

Princes Pro Am
Diablo Shores

Please either fill in the sanction or notify me of the cancellation.

For those who have filled them in, please recheck to see that everything is accurate and notify me of any changes.

eliteorganizers Message - Elite tournament deadline is the 15th

Dear Elite Organizers,

So far, we only have 4 tournaments that have filled in the official sanction form. Many of you have supplied dates that are on the google calendar and we have 14 tournaments listed there, but that only represents an informational request. Only the tournaments that have filled in the sanction form by the 15th are guaranteed the date requested. The main conflict with the EAME Championships, London Night Jump, Princes, and the World Cup in Korea is being worked on by the E&A officials.
So, please fill in the sanction form as soon as possible for your tournament.

eliteorganizers Message - Elite Tournaments 2010

Dear Elite Organizers/IWSF Federations,
I am sending out a brief summary of the Elite Tournament Registration process. With this process, we will be able to have more information available sooner and therefore make the process smoother.

Elite Program 2010

1. Tournament request/dates
Proposed Elite tournaments will be put on a Google Calendar. The deadline for tournament submission is January 15. If there is still a date conflict at this point we will try to negotiate a solution. Tournaments applying after January 15 cannot use an existing scheduled date unless it is deemed not to be a conflict.

2. Requirements for listing an Elite Tournament
a. Cash Prize minimum of $12,000 USD for a men�s event
b. Cash Prize minimum of $9,000 USD for a women�s event
c. Prize breakdown must be shown for each event. Here is a recommended schedule:

d. Entry fee must be listed
e. The above information will be submitted on the Elite Tournament Request Form. http://www.iwsfranking.com/2010/EliteSanction.htm
f. Results must be sent on the Elite Results Form at the conclusion of the tournament. Here is the official form:

g. An Introductory Elite tournament may be established at a lower prize amount. this is described in the Elite Rules description:

3. Elite points are based on the cash prize. The points will be set 30 days before the tournament. After that, if the cash prize is increased, it will not affect the points.

4. The IWSF has a goal that for Elite Tournaments, there should be one invited judge from a different IWSF Confederation than the one in which the tournament is held. A list of qualified judges will be supplied. An available judge may be invited on the same basis as local judges so that there is no additional cost beyond what is normally supplied.

Just FYI, the World Cup at ChunCheon has moved a week earlier to 8/20-8/30 2010. I am putting proposed dates on the google calendar in iwsfranking.com so be sure to check there.

Dear Potential Elite Organizers,
Even though we still have several Elite tournaments to go in the 2009 season, it is time to start thinking about the 2010 Elite season. Several World Cup dates have been set already and we want to get an early start on the 2010 season so that all conflicts can be worked out. Be sure to check the IWWF calendar regularly at www.iwwfed.com.
