US Cableski Open 27./28.09.97 After long efforts, we finally could organise the first cableski competition in the USA. This competition will be organized by Kai Fusser, the owner of Ski Rixen Smith Lake, in association with the American Water Ski Association and support of the World Cableski Commission. Smith Lake is located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, apporximately 1 hour drive from Raleigh. The next airport is Faxetteville, from here it is only 10 minutes by car. For all websurfer, who are interessted to get informations about this cable: HTTP://www.cxcca.com/cableski/ As soon as possible we will also give additional information about the competition on this webpage. The competition will be held according to the cableski rules of the Region EAME, but without the ususal qualification requirements, that means that everyboday who wants to may participate. It is only necessary that each skier is a member of this national federation and he must also be entered by his federation to this competition. There is only an open class, Women and Men. The entry fee for one event is U$30, for 2 events U$35 and for all 3 events U$40. In addition to that is a fee of U$20 for the AWSA insurance (only for non-AWSA members). Last entry day is the 15th September. Late entries a subject of a surcharge of U$25. In addition to that competition, there will be a wakeboard competition. More information about that will follow as soon as possible. Training offer (is not included in the entry fee): 1 week skiing U$99; 2 week skiing U$175; 1 day skiing U$19.50; 2 hours skiing U$14. Jump training is charged extra with U$2 per jump! Thursday and Friday before the competition: Slalom or tricks per round: U$1, each jump: U$2. Excellent practice conditions (boat pick-up) and a great way to have a different US-vacation (it doesn't need to be Florida...)
