Subject: 2002 World Wakeboard Championships

Dear Presidents,
Following my recent official announcement informing you that
the 3rd IWSF World Wakeboard Championships will be held in Agrinio, Greece, I
regret to inform you that the Hellenic Water Ski Federation have now withdrawn
their intention to hold IWSF's most prestigious event.
The World Wakeboard Council have been offered the site of
Kastoria as an alternative, however, we have previously decline this site, due
to the size of the lake, as it is inappropriate for a World Class
event.
Needless to say all members of the World Wakeboard Council are
extremely disappointed, in particular for the late notice and the work that has
been done to date.
Discussions have commenced with other Federations already in
an attempt to host this year's IWSF Wakeboard Worlds, and those Federations
interested should contact either Kuno Ritshard or myself at the earliest
opportunity. Thank you.
