CASH PRIZE OF US$ 500,000 FOR 2005 WATERSKI & WAKEBOARD WORLD CUP
The successful 2004 global tour brought the sports of Waterski and Wakeboard to thousands of new spectators in unique downtown locations. These ranged from the Bedok Reservoir in Singapore to the Volga River in Russia, from the Qatar shores of the Arabian Gulf, to London, Paris and on to scenic Changshu in China. With highlights delivered to the Media in 180 countries and a complete international TV series on Watersports World, the response was enormous.
The Cash Prize fund of half a million dollars will add to the challenge in 2005.
With over 30 million active Waterski and Wakeboard participants in the World today, only the very best of 52,000 competitors can secure a place on the dock. This guarantees competition of the highest level. With the first Wakeboard Stop scheduled for Paris at Enghien-les-Bains on June 18/19, the action will continue all the way through to November 18/19 in Doha, Qatar.
MasterCraft, the official Tow Boat Sponsor, will provide the sophisticated environment-friendly equipment and support crew at all Stops. The Stop recordings and photos will be available free of charge to all broadcasters and media contacts.CONTACT : Des Burke-Kennedy, Media Chairman, International Waterski Federation
