World Cup
Dear
Friends,
It
gives me great pleasure to inform you that the World Cup is again an integral
part of our calendar. Let me first thank Jean-Claude Durousseaud and Des
Burke-Kennedy from our Marketing and Media Committee and Jeff Chue, our legal
adviser, for their unstinting help and guidance over the past year. There is
still much work ahead of us to ensure that the IWSF World Cup becomes an
unqualified success now and in the future, but this year’s events give us an
excellent start. First and foremost we must continue to focus on locating
sponsors and partners to help us guarantee that our World Cup becomes a
prestigious, worldwide annual series of first class
competitions.
I
also want to thank the Federations and Organisers involved for their help and
cooperation in making the 2004 World Cup a reality, especially Mastercraft as
the Official Tow Boat of the World Cup. I am especially pleased that we could
add three Wakeboard stops by working closely with the World Wakeboard Council.
A
26 minutes broadcast quality video of each stop will be produced professionally,
and Federations interested in offering it to their national TV stations should
contact our office in
