OFFICIAL RULES FOR 2000 WAKEBOARD WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Today the World Wakeboard Council released the much awaited Official Rules for the first Wakeboard World Championships !

The first World Wakeboard Championships will be held in Montpellier, France from September 13-17, 2000. For any technical questions you may contact directly the Chairman of the Wakeboard World Council, Jean-Claude Durousseaud, or the Secretary, Colin Hart.

The IWSF Headquarters also informs that 25 Athletes (16 men and 9 women), representing the best that the Federations have to offer on a global level, will be able to participate in the 2001 World Games in Akita, Japan.

The Wakeboard World Council officially comunicated that Athletes for the Akita World Games will be selected only among those National Federations which have sent at least one Athlete to compete in the 2000 Wakeboard World Championships.
 
Before February 2001 the method of selection of the Athletes and the list of choosen Athletes for the 2001 World Games will be published. The Headquarters will promptly inform the Federations whose athletes are involved.

We invite all Federations to immediately inform all their riders and to publish these official rules for the First World Wakeboard Championships 2000, in Montpellier, France.
