2000 Wakeboard World Championships
September 13 - 17
Report of the Secretary General on the Site of the 2000 Wakeboard World Championships to all National Federations, Officials, and Riders of the World
On August 15 I inspected the Site for the upcoming Wakeboard World Championships, and took stock of the proceedings and state of organization being implemented by the Organizers.
The site is excellent, as are the infrastructures. Only a 500 meters away there are various hotels and restaurants, as well as a discotheque, and various other places for cultural and social entertainment where the Riders and all others who attend the Championships will be able to enjoy themselves.
I have the pleasure of informing you that along with the Event in itself, the Organizer has provided for many and various occasions for enjoyment, fun, and relaxation for all. A great big party for the discipline of Wakeboard and all involved, be they Riders, Officials, or just simple spectators.
There will be a skate park with competitions, a catapult which rockets two people at a time to a height of 100 meters at 450km per hour, guaranteed for thrills and chills, animation, music and dancing to delight ears and feet, a true Wakeboard celebrationThe airport in Montpellier is located only 5km from the site, and has numerous daily flights both to and from Nice and Paris, as well as numerous cities throughout Europe.
All relative details and information can be found by visiting the website of the Organizers at www.mondial-wakeboard2000.com.
The Organization is excellent and truly efficient, and the vacation spot of La Grande Motte is very beautiful. All of these things will make for an exceptional and unforgettable debut of the IWSF Wakeboard World Championships.
In summary, the fun is guaranteed, the location is splendid, the site perfect, and the French Federation's organization as always extremely efficient. I am looking forward to seeing you there one and all. This is an occasion not to be missed.
I invite all the Federation President's to make the maximum diffusion of the Event to all of the Riders.
Attached to this message you will find a view of the beach at La Grande Motte, a map showing the Wake Course, a layout of the Wake Course, and an aerial photograph of the Wake Course.
