Frequently Asked Questions 1. How far down is the ranking list intended to go. A. The list is intended to be significant for the top twenty skiers. This may be adjusted based on results and demand. 2. Will the old ranking list be run side by side for people not included. A. The traditional list will still be calculated and the two combined at the semi-annual publishings. The exact method is not approved, but the leading proposal is to use the top 20 from the Elite ranking and then fill in below with the traditional method. 3. Can I see the trial run based on 2001 data A. Yes, you can see the trial run as the ranking method is a spreadsheet that includes a year of tournaments. I will publish the link shortly. 4. Can we include the Pro-Am held at Princes in England. (Andy, Drew, Steve, Jodi and Glen plus about $6000 prize money.) A. Your Pro Am tournament sounds fine. In fact it was included in the 2001 results. There will be an application available shortly. 5. With 8 of the top 20(Mens Slalom Skiers) being Europeans why are 6 of the 9 Tournaments suggested in the US, shouldn't the British, French, Austrian and Italian Masters be included. A. I agree that the European Master's tournaments you suggest will probably be included. I included the US Pro Tournaments because they have already declared their dates and purses and obviously qualify. I am waiting for information and my intent on announcing was to stimulate responses such as yours. It seems I was successful so far with your tournament. 6. If the rankings list as we know it does not exist, how will start lists be compiled. A. The ranking list as you know it will continue to exist with the changes noted.
