DISABLED ATHLETES OF THE YEAR 2006

Female:
Gerda Pamler (Germany) - MP3 (Paraplegic): She competed in two EAME Euro Tour stops this summer in Feldberg, GER and Recetto, ITA where she set a new World Record in slalom (1/43kph/18.25m - outer). She also started to jump this year for the first time and achieved a third place on the EAME Standing List for all female categories. Her progress in tricks continues.

Male:
Giancarlo Cosio (Italy) - A/L (Arm &Leg Disability): This summer, he competed in three EAME Euro Tour stops, breaking the World record in his category all three times in slalom. Holding the record at the beginning of the year with a performance of 4/43kph/18.25m (outer) in 2005, he raised it from 1.5/46kph to two and finally to 3/46kph/18.25m (outer). He also participated twice on the Euro Tour as well as the EAME Championships in tricks, increasing his score each time.
