Abstract:

The IWSF World Senior's Trophy is meant to provide a vehicle for competition for senior division skiers throughout the world.

1. Skiers who may participate

1. Each Federation may enter a Team composed of a maximum of 8 skiers, with a maximum of 4 skiers in any age category and with a maximum of 3 skiers of the same sex in any age category.
2. Federations are ALSO allowed to submit individual entries for any category with a MAXIMUM of 2 per CATEGORY (i.e. SM1 slalom, SW3 jump, etc.)
3. Individual skiers will be allowed in on a space available basis with at least the minimum number shown on the chart attached to this document. Federations should submit the skier's two best performances in the year preceding the tournament from Federation certified L or R (or US "E") certified tournaments. Individual entries must be received 30 days before the start of the tournament. At that point the official list of Individual entries will be publicized. The submitted performances must have been performed in the one year period between May 21, 2003 and May 20, 2004. The performances also must have been done within the divisional rule technical conditions as stated in the 2004 edition of the IWSF Rules.

Technical Rules

The technical rules shall be identical to those in the most current IWSF Technical Rules with the exception of the modifications to the Technical Rules as stated below:

It is generally understood that any reference to the World Championships shall be applicable to this tournament if appropriate.

The tournament shall be held at the discretion of the IWSF Executive Board, but no more than once per year.

2.05 Tournament deadlines shall be set by the organizer with approval of the Chairman of the IWSF Tournament Council

There shall be no combination of divisions regardless of the number of contestants. Championship medals will be awarded in each division to the top three places (or the number of contestants if that is less than three) regardless of the number of contestants in the event.

2.02 Rounds

The number of skiers in the final in each event will be based on the number of skiers starting in the preliminary.

Ties will be run off so that only the number shown will go to the final. To enter the final, the skier must have achieved a score greater than zero in the preliminaries.

4.01 Each team composed of a maximum of 8 skiers. A maximum of 4 skiers in any age category. A maximum of 3 skiers of the same sex in any age category.

5.01 Individual Overall Scoring

A set of fixed standards will be used instead of the winner's score for Individual and Team Overall Scoring. The standards are as follows:

5.05 Team scoring: The best 4 scores from each event - but with a maximum of 2 scores from any of the 6 age/sex categories to be used. The team score shall be calculated using the preliminary round only.

6. 02 there shall be at least one judge from each of the two groups that the tournament is not being held in.

NOTE: It is the intent of these Rules to provide a standardized physical format for veterans competition. Variance from these rules as -far as team competition or entrance requirements for- tournaments other than the World Senior's Trophy is acceptable. However, no variation of the physical format rules is to be accepted i.e. ramp heights boat speeds, scoring formulae.

Individual Entry Minimum Criteria

Minimum spaces available guaranteed

If more openings are available, they will be added roughly in the ratio of the entries at the discretion of the TC Chairman.

There are three Seniors Divisions as follows:

Seniors 1 ages 35 to 44

Seniors 2 ages 45 to 54

Seniors 3 ages 55 and up

The technical rules are as follows:

*The Senior Men 1 division competitors may optionally select a 1.65m ramp height.
